How would you introduce yourself?
I was born and raised in France, and studied the Arts at L'Ecole Des Cadres in Paris, France.
Since I created my company Artsy Wall Décor, based in Stamford, CT, I have been working with interior designers, architects and home owners in Fairfield and Westchester counties and Florida .
I am married, and you will find me often working in my garden with my Black Labrador, Bird. It is some king of therapy for me. I just love being in the garden.
How would you describe your wall treatments?
By using a wide variety of organic aggregates for unusual textures, color washes in warm Mediterranean and Earth tones, I always try to add interest to my finishes.
Some are also hand-painted and distressed to resemble old world wallpaper, only without the seams...They are then treated with different sealers, waxes and polishers to give them an exquisite patina and durable protection.
From venetian plaster to textured or/and organic plaster, the walls always end up with that "je ne sais quoi" look and feel.
Do you have a favorite project?
Yes! I did a plaster restoration in Manhattan, teaming up with my husband's home remodeling company Black Dog Remodeling. This was a challenging project! It is always difficult to repair and match any finish that you have not originally done yourself...We had to re-create the missing bas-relief using plaster of Paris, sculpting tools and trompe l'oeil painting. The background finish was an intricate parchment...
Do you have any other passions?
I love designing websites: I taught myself studying online 7 years ago. It had become pretty successful over the years. It is called Web Dezine It. I also have a pet product business with my husband Stephen: We handcrafted pet products from wooden wine crates. It has been a lot of fun! It is called Whiner and Diner.
